Ink Fingerprints (FD-258 Fingerprint Cards) in Jacksonville, FL

While most agencies now use Live Scan fingerprinting, some still accept or require traditional ink fingerprints — usually when you’re applying for a position or license that requires background check in a different state, and you currently located in Florida.

At Fingerprinting Jacksonville, we provide high-quality FD-258 fingerprint cards for out-of-state licensing, federal use, and other special cases where Live Scan isn’t available or accepted.

Our technicians ensure your fingerprints are clear, properly rolled, and fully compliant so they’re accepted the first time you submit them.

Steps to Complete Your Ink Fingerprinting

1) Get Instructions from the Requesting Agency: Before booking, contact the state or agency that’s requesting your fingerprints. They’ll give you detailed instructions about how the cards should be filled out and where to send them.

  • Some agencies mail out their own pre-printed fingerprint cards and won’t accept anything else.

  • Most allow a standard FBI FD-258 card, which we can provide.

2) Bring Your Instructions to Your Appointment and get your prints rolled: Don’t try to fill out your fingerprint cards yourself. Our technicians will complete all the fields on the card according to the agency’s instructions and ensure everything is formatted correctly.

3) Mail the Cards and Wait for Results: After your appointment, you’ll need to mail your completed fingerprint cards to the agency listed in your instructions. Once mailed, processing times vary by state — the agency will contact you directly when results are ready. Once you leave with your completed cards, our part of the process is done. We don’t receive updates or results from the agencies.
